Cheng Hai is the founder of Zenith Intellutions Pte Ltd, a specialist firm providing consultancy services for advanced satellite, sensor and Internet of Things (IoT) technologies.
Cheng Hai previously held the appointment of Director, Business Partnerships for a Singapore start-up company SGLab Pte. Ltd., and had served in Singapore’s Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) for 30 years. In MINDEF he held various senior appointments and has served in the Defence Research and Technology Office that managed research & development of advanced technological systems.
Currently, Cheng Hai serves on the advisory board (Technology) at Radion International Limited and board of advisors at Equatorial Space System Pte Ltd.
Cheng Hai has previously served in the industry advisory board at PSB Academy School of Engineering and Technology and the executive committee at Singapore Space & Technology Association (SSTA).
In his personal capacity, Cheng Hai has volunteered at the Singapore Boys’ Town Home and the Ramakrishna Mission Singapore, helping disadvantaged youths regain confidence, independence and empowering them towards meaningful future. Prior to COVID-19, he also conducted weekly physical activities’ sessions for clients at the Movement for the Intellectually Disabled of Singapore (MINDS) to help improve their movement and motor-skills.
Cheng Hai holds a degree in Computer Engineering (First Class Honours) and Master of Science (Knowledge Management) from the Nanyang Technological University. He has published academic technical and industrial policy papers at International forums.
